Description

Donald Trump left behind a series of national security problems that required changes in personnel, process, and policy.  Biden’s initial appointments to high-level national security positions pointed to U.S. re-engagement with the international community that has been neglected for the past four years.  Mr. Goodman will focus on these appointments as well as the policy initiatives toward Russia, China, and Iran.  Regional policy toward the Middle East and the Persian Gulf will also be assessed.  Finally, we will examine the possibility for reviving arms control and disarmament, which has been sorely neglected for four years.
