The Front Porch Center for Innovation and Well-being is proud to present “SOUND AND VISION: Emergent Hearing and Vision Assistive Technologies”. We will address physical and social challenges stemming from low hearing and vision abilities among older adults. In exploring emerging technologies that are increasingly available and growing in adoption, FPCIW will educate and inform audience members of our learnings from previous hearing and vision assistive technology pilots, offer recommendations on modern hearing and vision solutions, and explore apps and phone settings that can assist with these challenges. Cox Communications has teamed up with San Diego Oasis to provide free online classes for seniors in an effort to ensure that technology training is available to everyone who wants it. Cox and Oasis strongly believe now more than ever that seniors need to be connected, engaged and involved in the world. Cox is providing these classes as a service to all members of San Diego Oasis.
