Description

What’s happening with organized religion today? Are Americans attending a church service less today than in the past? Do they still believe in a God?  Do they pray? In this class, we will look at research data on three groups in America: Evangelical Protestants, Mainline Protestants and those who are Unaffiliated. We will compare how their religious affiliation (or none) affects their opinions on contemporary social and political issues, including how they vote. We will discuss how religion relates to many aspects of American life.
