Napoleon Bonaparte, an enigmatic and legendary personality, boldly seized control of France in 1799 and soon elevated himself to the position of emperor. He began with inspiring military successes and soon controlled most of Europe, which led to visions of world domination. But it all fell to pieces and he was banished from France. This lecture explores his dramatic rise to power and eventual crash landing in the South Atlantic.
