We’ll start by establishing a definition of “personality”, then look at seven prominent theories regarding the development of human personality. Seven different measurement tools used by psychologists to assess personality are discussed. The lecture concludes with a brief look at two personality disorders: Borderline Personality and Dissociative Identity Disorder (commonly known as Multiple Personality).
