Description

The Trump administration pursued a relatively narrow agenda in Latin America, focusing on immigration and targeting governments like Venezuela and Cuba. President Trump visited Latin America only once while in office — in 2018  for a Group of 20 summit in Argentina — and that trip was mostly about global economic topics, not regional concerns.  The election of Joe Biden will bring changes on immigration, climate change, promotion of democracy and fighting corruption. This class will explore what a Latin America can expect of a Biden administration.
