This lecture explores the genre of Japanese Art that flourished in the 17th to 19th centuries, including Hokusai’s Great Wave of Kanagawa, a widely recognized artwork. It will also discuss the intersection with European Impressionist and Post Impressionist painters including Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh.
