Description
Richard Rodgers’ 1925 song “Manhattan” propelled him into the top ranks of Broadway composers. After the song was introduced, Rodgers and Hart were a Broadway songwriting force. Rodgers would go on to work with Oscar Hammerstein II beginning in 1943. Hammerstein also worked with composers including Jerome Kern and Sigmund Romberg. CEC’s Music Man.
