Local author Nora Curran has traveled to all seven continents and has lived on three. In this talk she would like to share some of her experiences of living “overseas,” often in the midst of cultures very different from her own. She has chronicled her escapades in numerous articles and books. She has experienced the true meaning of D.E.I., and along the way, amid confusion, escapades, and narrow escapes, she has learned a great deal about herself and about human nature in general.
She’ll tell you how she nearly got arrested in Beijing, ruined a match-maker’s attempt to bring two people together, was banned from her own kitchen and much more. It’s been a roller coaster of a life so far, but great fun . She looks forward to more adventures near and far. She’d like to take you along with her in this talk.
