Description
There are more than 430 parks in the National Park System ranging from iconic parks like Yosemite and Yellowstone to lesser-known historic places like Hubbell Trading Post and Bent’s Old Fort. The National Park System spans eleven time zones from Saipan to the U.S. Virgin Islands and grasping the breadth of the park system can be daunting.
This course will present a look at lesser-known natural park such as Craters of the Moon, Indiana Dunes, Apostle Islands, and other beautiful natural parks that are not as famous as the icon parks.
