Description
A USA Task Force, headed by Admiral Byrd in 1946, conducted a thorough investigation of the entire continent of Antarctica by aerial photography during Operation Highjump. This controversial operation has been described as a mission to train US soldiers for fighting in arctic conditions while some researchers record a mission to destroy the remaining bases of the Fourth Reich and capture a new unique armament.
