Description
Did you know that more species of birds have been seen in San Diego County than in any other county in The United States (about 525)? True! The reasons are that the county is on the Pacific flyway, it’s by the ocean, and no other county has more natural zones than San Diego. These natural zones range from estuaries to chaparral to mountains to desert, and each natural zone has its own collection of unique bird species, with each of them fascinating in its own way. This presentation will acquaint you with many of the more common species to be found in the San Diego region, together with some of their more interesting characteristics, and where you can go to see them.
