Description
One of the greatest engineering feats of the century was the Brooklyn Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in the world built in 1883. It took 14 years to complete,using innovative construction techniques and took the lives of 27 workers. P.T. Barnum led a parade of 21 elephants over the bridge to calm fears that it might fall.
