The class will focus on dances from the Greek world. Included will be dances from the mainland, islands and dances brought to Greece by various Greek minority groups when transplanted back to Greece in the early 20th century. The focus will be on the authenticity and cultural aspects of the dances and their relationship to the local traditions. Each week will focus on a specific region or village, each with its unique styling and music. Everyone is welcome and I look forward to seeing you.
