Description
Needlepoint is the technique of embroidery on canvas. It is easy to get started making beautiful works of art. In this class, we will start with simple designs that you can make. The focus of this class is the diagonal stitches and all of the things that you can make with it. You will learn basic stitches to start and complete a project by the end of the class.
Supply list:
2 sheets of rectangular 7 mesh clear plastic canvas measuring 10″ x 13″, Small craft scissors, 1 package of size 16 tapestry needles
Yarn: This can be any brand and any material that you feel comfortable handling. Suggested brands: Bernat, Caron, Lion Brand, Red Heart, Vanna White, I Love This Yarn, Yarn Bee
2 skeins of medium weight yarn in 2 different colors (light to medium color), or 1 skein of medium weight variegated yarn in a light to medium color combination, or 3 skeins of medium weight yarn in 3 different colors
