The Night Owls are a powerhouse rock and soul band lighting up dance floors all across North County San Diego. Founded and led by Doug Simon—a veteran music educator with decades of experience teaching in both NYC and Vista—the group brings together an exceptional lineup of seasoned talent and fresh energy.
The band features Doug Simon on rhythm guitar, vocals, and trombone; Navy Band veteran Ernie Encinas (22 years of service) on saxophone, percussion, and vocals; the incredible Jim Lewin on lead guitar and vocals; NYC bass legend Jodie Hill, boasting over 30 years of professional playing experience; and 23-year-old phenom Trey McCurdy on drums, whose sophisticated style and groove well belie his years.
