Description

Reading for the Next Chapter A book club for readers who think before they speak and prefer depth over casual talk. Each month we’ll read a fiction book exploring life transitions: reinvention, identity, loss, second chances or starting over at midlife and beyond. Discussion questions are shared in advance so you can arrive with your thoughts already formed, not put on the spot. This group is designed for introverts and anyone who prefers a thoughtful, low-pressure pace over a fast-moving crowd.

The Authenticity Project – Clare Pooley (2020) An isolated, lonely elderly artist starts a notebook confessing the truth about his life and leaves it in a café; strangers who find it, mostly women rebuilding after divorce, addiction, or loss, add their own confessions and slowly form an unlikely community. Ensemble rather than single-protagonist, but built entirely around people quietly starting over.
