Description
Sleep patterns change dramatically from birth through older adulthood. Newborns sleep 14-17 hours daily in short bursts, while children gradually need less sleep as they grow. Teenagers require 8-10 hours but often experience a natural shift toward later bedtimes. Adults typically need 7-9 hours of sleep per night.
In this presentation, we will discuss how people age and how our sleep naturally becomes less and lighter. We will also address the difference between normal sleep issues and sleep disorders as well as factors that can improve sleep quality at any age.
