Description

Migration affects nearly every family story—whether recent or generations of old. This course invites participants to reflect on their family’s movement across places, cultures, and time, and how those journeys shaped the people they have become. Through guided storytelling, reflective writing, and inclusive dialogue, learners will explore themes of belonging, home, cultural identity, resilience, and community. Participants will be encouraged to bring their own stories—large or small, known or still unfolding. We will discuss various forms of migration, including immigration, internal migration, forced displacement, and cultural adaptation, in a way that honors each person’s lived experience. This is a welcoming, reflective, and interactive space where we connect through shared histories and celebrate the richness of our collective journeys. This course is perfect for anyone curious about where they come from, how identity is formed, and how personal and family stories shape a meaningful life.
