Description
Starting with a deep dive into “the mother of all election interventions” (the 2000 decision in Bush v. Gore), this course examines Supreme Court interventions (and refusals to intervene) in election contests up to the recent past. Emphasis will be on what the record portends for possible involvement by the justices in the upcoming hotly contested November elections.
