Description
This class examines the economic policy, strategy, and objectives of President Donald Trump towards China, Canada, and Europe. The purpose of the class is to analyze the motivations and strategy behind the emerging tariff wars and put American economic policy in historical and international perspective. The class will assist students in evaluating the merits and/or drawbacks of tariffs as a strategic economic instrument to advance the economic interest of the United Stats vis-à-vis friend and foe alike.
