Description
I am always amazed by the hammered dulcimer’s beauty, it’s unique ability to capture classical, Celtic, and American melodies. It mesmerizes audiences. It has a trapezoidal shape. It’s strings are hit with hammers that have a variety of surfaces. The word “dulcimer” comes from the Latin word ‘dulcis” which means “sweet” and the Greek “melos” which means sound. Thus “sweet sound.” And that it has! That magic is our focus in this hour.
