Description
This lecture will summarize the five transformations in the history of human society: The Cognitive Revolution, The Neolithic Revolution, The Urban Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and the Digital Revolution. Each transformation involved irreversible changes to society and were jumps (punctuated evolution) in the levels of progress. The time frame covers the emergence of modern humans about 180,000 years ago to the present time. This lecture is about cultural evolution.
