Between 1933 and 1945, the Nazi regime attempted to systematically eradicate millions of people deemed unworthy of life. This genocidal endeavor facilitated the violent extermination of six million Jews in what has come to be known as the Holocaust. But what, exactly, was the Holocaust? This introductory lecture will provide a broad overview of this horrific history, from its origins and evolution to its conclusion and legacy.
