The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is the repository for all important records involving the federal government. Many know it as the home of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, but NARA also holds copies of documents important to individual and family history as well, like immigration, naturalization and military records, many now accessible online.
