The conventional wisdom regarding the origins of the Jewish People is that they are biological descendants of the Israelites who settled the Southern Levant. If this were to be the case, we would expect the Jewish People to be of the Mediterranean phenotype – dark hair. brown eyes, and olive skin. However, an examination of the world population of Jewish people we find a wide range of physical variation ranging from the light skinned Nordics to black skinned Africans. This lecture based on archaeology, anthropology, history as well as scripture will present an alternative view to the conventional wisdom as to the origins of the Jewish people
