Description
The Sun has been warming Earth for 4.6 billion years. Humankind has looked up to the sky and wondered about the Sun since our presence on Earth. But only in the last few decades have learned really what the Sun is all about. In this talk we will explore what we have learned about the Sun, first through the use of telescopes, and more recently, through the satellites that NASA has launched into orbit that are dedicated to research about the Sun.
