Landing in Nairobi, Kenya in October 1978, I had no idea that I would spend the next 40 years wandering around the world living among wild animals not only in North America, but also
Africa, Asia, and Australia. I’ve been among animals as small as koalas in Australia, but as large as elephants and giraffes in Africa. I’ve spent some nights in luxury lodges, but have also slept in a
pup tent, while lions, hippos, and elephants were just outside.
