This presentation explores various trends in the field of paranormal research, such as technological & metaphysical instruments and their implications; proper investigation protocol; spirit resolution vs. “paratainment” (sensationalism vs. academic approaches to paranormal research); academic approaches to ghost research; respecting spiritual energies, etc. The presentation will explore the following questions: “What is the future of and how can we improve the field of paranormal research?” and “What should we teach younger generations who are just now getting into the field?” Properly researching anomalous phenomena will lead to a greater rapport between the living and spirit worlds.
