While Nancy Drew was the most popular teen girl sleuth of the series book world, Trixie Belden was the favorite of many other readers. She was a bit younger and sometimes more hot-headed than Nancy Drew. Trixie and her friends and siblings solve mysteries in upstate New York and beyond. Several of the people involved in writing the series have lived in San Diego.
