Vic Camp, Ph.D., is a semi-retired Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Geological Sciences at San Diego State University, where he taught a popular course in Natural Disasters and continues to teach courses for geology majors. Vic believes that the quality of teaching is enhanced by an active research program and enriched by field experiences beyond the classroom. His work on the origin and evolution of volcanic terrains is well-cited in the international literature, with over 4500 citations. His current area of interest lies in evaluating the early history of the Yellowstone hotspot.
