Description
This class will continue to introduce students to working with color and water. To get started we will learn about types of watercolor paints, paper and brushes. You will learn how to hold the brush and mix colors. We will create watercolor washes and learn some fundamental concepts including hue, value and saturation, warm and cool colors and color mixing techniques. Basic brush holding techniques and ways to achieve color/water interactions will be demonstrated in class exercises. Students will create a floral wreath in watercolor using the techniques we learn.
