For economy & ease, I prefer buying paint in the large tubes. If you have other Watercolor Paints, you are welcome to bring them to get started. You can always upgrade later! (Names in Bold are my most frequently used colors)
Brushes – 5 brushes are enough to begin with: I suggest #4 & #10 (or #12) pointed & flats in 1/2,” 1,” and 2” widths. Brushes don’t have to be expensive – just make sure the pointed brushes come to a sharp point & the flat bushes are a firm chisel. Be sure you do get watercolor
brushes not brushes for oil painting or Oriental Brush Painting.
Paper – Arches 140 lb rough or cold press. A full sheet measures 22” x 30” and can be cut into half sheets or quarter sheets ( or even 1/8 sheets).
