Description
Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, left behind two handwritten wills. One was eleven pages, neatly written, and locked in a cabinet. The other was four pages, scribbled in a spiral notebook, signed with a smiley face, and stuffed under a couch cushion. We will look at how a Michigan jury chose between them, where California stands on handwritten wills, and why a will written in good faith can still tear a family apart.
