Description
When Prince died in 2016, he left behind $156 million, a vault full of unreleased music, and not a single piece of paper saying who should get any of it. What followed was six years of court battles, more than forty would-be heirs (including a federal inmate claiming to be his son), and $45 million in legal fees. We will walk through the wreckage and look at what California law would do with the same situation today.
