Christian nationalism isn’t exactly new, but in many important ways its gaining ground and establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with. Simply put, Christian nationalism is a political movement rooted in the idea that the United States is a divinely ordained nation and ought to be re-organized along explicitly Christian lines. In its most extreme form it is openly theocratic, working toward a one-religion nation where the state and Evangelical Protestant Christianity become a unified force. Critics of this movement, both inside and outside Christianity, have questions, for example, “Is Christian nationalism even Christian?” Join us as we explore this burgeoning conflict in the body politic of America.
